Data Communications

Networks and communications are a key element of controlling elements in a system, be it renewable power or moving hybrid vehicles. This idea is a method for efficiently transmitting data though digital channels with poor signal to noise ratios. These radio channels might be encountered in rural broadband, where a lack of neighbors means lots of Radio Frequency bandwidth is available, but long distances and attenuation from trees insure signals will be weak. It is also useful for fiber optic transmissions and microwave links.

This method of transmission uses phase modulation (PM) of a mathematically-transformed signal. Transmission efficiency can be high due to class C amplifier operation, relative to class A amplification.

This idea also has applications for Ham radio data packets.
